Tigers Point Hill Challenge 2016

Tiger’s Point Hill Challenge is an annual road-race organized at Lonavla, Maharashtra. The event has been named after the famous view-point situated in the hill station, and comprises of two timed races, namely, 10km and 21km.

The inaugural edition was held on November 27, 2016.

 Team RunBurn zeroed in on Lonavla on account of its popularity as a tourist spot, ease of travel and ample accommodation facilities. The route has been chosen specifically for its natural beauty and challenging inclines.

Start Time:

Half Marathon: 06:00am

10km run: 06:30am

 Age Limit:

Half Marathon: 18 years and above

10km run: 16 years and above

 

Registration:

Half Marathon: Rs.1250/-

10km run: Rs.1000/-

The above fee included an event t-shirt, timing chip, hydration support, finisher’s medal, post-race breakfast, e-certificate and photographs.

 

Holding Area

Near Bhushi Dam

Since the holding area is around 5 kms from Lonavla city, we arranged for buses from Kumar Resort on race day from 04:30am onwards. Also, there was ample parking space available near the holding area and the participants could travel by their own vehicles too.

10k Route Elevation

This is an out-and-back route. The start/finish point and the route till 5kms will be the same as the half-marathon event and then will turn back. A steep ascent starts from the 1km mark and extends till around 4kms, followed by a gently rolling hill with a net descent till the 5km mark. While returning, the same would get reversed.
